Julie Felix recently celebrated 50 years in the world of music, and is best described in the words of Steve Harley: ‘There are those among us who just have to play and sing; to whom their work is not a job but a calling. Julie Felix is one such musician.’ Her song If I could (El Condor Pasa) still resonates.

Julie was the first solo folk performer signed to a major British record label, and in 1966 became a household name as resident singer on The Frost Report. She appeared in her own TV series on BBCs 1 and 2 and recorded hit singles on Mickey Most’s RAK label. In 2013, Julie performed at the Leicester Square Theatre to celebrate her 75th birthday, and was invited to Buckingham Palace to meet members of the royal family.

Julie: ‘It’s hard to know where the time has gone but I have had a wonderful half-century of warm memories and making music around the world. I’ve also tried to raise the profile of issues close to my heart and will continue to deliver messages through my music.'
