What are the factors that shape what and how we eat? Is our choice of dinner an expression of cultural heritage and social status? Our panel will discuss the influence of advertising, design, nostalgia, family traditions and self-image on culinary choices with moderator Sybil Kapoor.
Panel to include:

- Patrice De Villiers: one of the world’s most creative and in-demand food photographers, whose Inglorious Fruits + Vegetables campaign for Intermarché won five D&AD design awards in 2015.
- James Lowe: the chef behind Lyle’s in Shoreditch, whose produce-led British food has won considerable plaudits. He was previously head chef at St John Bread + Wine and one of the founders of the Young Turks chef collective.
