Westfield London’s First Ice Rink Opens

The All In London Blog

ITV1’s Dancing-on-Ice judge and 1980 Olympic Gold medalist figure skater, Robin Cousins, took the first skate on Westfield London’s very first ice rink. Joined by The Snowman from The Sadler’s Wells theatre production, the skating pro’s wooed Westfield London’s shoppers as crowds watched the skating duos officially open one of London’s must-do winter experiences.

This Christmas, Westfield London’s indoor ice rink takes over the Atrium from 13th November 2010 until 3rd January 2011. With 30x15 metres of real ice and the capacity for 150 skaters at a time, visitors can take time out from their shopping or make a night of it by sampling the culinary delights from a choice of over 50 places to dine followed by hours of skating fun under Westfield London’s stunning glass roof and dazzling Christmas lights.
