Go Crazy For Crayfish At Aquavit

Love London

Few summer soirées are quite as appealing as the annual Swedish celebration of crayfish. Yes, you heard correctly. Every August those savvy Scandis celebrate the tradition of kräftskiva, an event completely dedicated to the region’s delicious crayfish. With party hats, crayfish bibs, decorations and debauchery, kräftskiva is a feast to remember and while it's undoubtedly best celebrated in the hazy golden light of a Swedish summer's evening, the next best thing is ordering Aquavit London's new kräftskiva box to bring the part straight to your door.

The Michelin-starred restaurant has launched a box with either one or two dozen crayfish (priced at £25 and £45 respectively), accompanied by a traditional västerbotten cheese tart by Head Chef Jorjon Colazo, as well as a bold and tangy mustard and dill sauce, roasted new potatoes with dill and sourdough bread with cod roe butter. To ensure absolute authenticity and to really get the festivities going, each box will also include plenty of hats, bibs, and decorations for you to enjoy.

Available for delivery seven days a week via Supper and Deliveroo and given said crayfish is best paired with a shot of aquavit (the tradition is one for every claw if you’re up to the challenge) as a special gift, for every £100 spent on your Aquavit London delivery order, you’ll receive two 50ml bottles of O.P Anderson Aquavit free.

Aquavit London is also reopening its doors to diners tomorrow, 24th August, so if a party at home doesn't appeal you can also enjoy the traditional spoils of Scandinavia in the heart of London once more.
