Lockdown sucks when all your favourite eateries are closed, but luckily some of London's finest have pulled out all the stops to pivot their offering and deliver their very best dishes to your door. 


We've pulled together a few favourites that are tickling our fancy this week. Stay tuned for regular updates over the next few weeks as we bring you more of what this delicious city has to offer by way of lockdown eats!


1. APRÈS FOOD CO.’S DELIVERY SERVICE



Clerkenwell restaurant Après Food  Co. has just launched a healthy meal delivery service throughout London and the UK.T he new launch has two offerings: ‘Specific Health Focused Boxes’ and ‘Better Boxes’ - a range of delicious, nutritionally-balanced, restaurant-quality dishes. Just like on their restaurant menu, processed and unnecessarily refined ingredients are nowhere to be found and all dishes are gluten free. Dishes include Shakshuka with Garlic Roast Potatoes; American-Style Blueberry Pancakes; Norfolk Chicken Casserole; and 12-Hour slow-cooked Sri Lankan Lamb Curry, all created by co-founders Danny Gray and Catherine Sharman who is also the head chef and a nutritional therapist. 2. MANILIFE’S PEANUT BUTTER RECIPE BOX



Peanut butter brand ManiLife has launched a limited edition peanut butter recipe box in celebration of National Peanut Butter Day on 24th January. Available to buy until the 17th, the box is the result of a partnership with cook and author Milli Taylor who has created two new recipes, a Massaman Thai Curry and Peanut Butter and Chocolate Cookies. Each box, priced £20, contains pre-portioned ingredients and step-by-step instructions, plus a free jar of ManiLife’s award-winning Deep Roast Crunchy Peanut Butter. Milli will also be hosting a live cook-along with brand founder Stu Macdonald at 12pm on the 24th on the @Manilife_ Instagram channel. www.mani-life.com/products/exclusive-recipe-boxes


3. REAL SOUVLAKI WITHOUT LEAVING THE HOUSE



The Real Greek has launched at-home souvlaki kits, to help you recreate the tasty Greek favourite in your own kitchen. Aavailable nationwide through a proud collaboration with Great Food 2U (www.greatfood2u.co.uk), customers can choose from a succulent Chicken Souvlaki (£14.00) or a savoury Halloumi Souvlaki (£13.50, both for two people, plus delivery charges). Until now, making truly authentic souvlaki at home would have been a real challenge.  A perfect souvlaki has specific secrets to it; from the marinade, to the right tzatziki, to the Greek made flatbread. The DIY Souvlaki Kits come with a set of easy instructions and all ingredients needed, from homemade tzatziki to the restaurant’s original wrapping paper.  


4. BRING MURANO TO YOUR TABLE



Angela Hartnett has created a delicious Café Murano menu available for home delivery on Dishpatch, the website that plays host to a spread of delicious menus from some of London’s favourite restaurants. 5. HOT STONE AT HOME



Chapel Market’s Hot Stone (incidentally one of the best sushi meals I’ve ever had) has launched Hot Stone at Home, carefully reimagined for at-home dining by Executive Chef Padam Raj Rai. The menu features a plethora of à la carte favourites like the extensive range of signature sushi, hot and chilled sashimi, carpaccio and maki, hand-shaped and sliced fresh to order, as well as 48 hour marinated Black Cod with saikyo miso sauce, Japanese Wagyu don and grilled avocado with passion fruit and spicy mayonnaise. What’s more, diners can find new exciting Nepalese dishes on the menu too. For celebratory dinners, special date nights and Valentine’s, the Hot Stone Omakase box takes diners on a 24-step culinary journey of authentic and innovative Japanese cuisine.
