I visited the Pick Me Up Graphic Arts Festival at Somerset House last night. I skipped my spin class and swim training to go, but it was certainly worth it for the doodle tombola, face-stamp challenge, kaleidoscopic live band and the ideas generator alone. You'll know what I mean if you can squeeze in a visit before Sunday.
Anyway, I came across the work of freelance illustrator Jasmine Hortop and her graphic representation of a trapeze artist in training. Yes, a freaking trapeze artist! The above image is a detail of a larger work. You should go and check it out.
Her work features in the Coffee Club Collective's Almanac, "The Circus": six illustrators, 48 pages, white rabbits, performing seals and tamed lions.
