Soho's Stylish Salon64

Love London

Down an unassuming side street you'll find one of Soho's chicest salons.

SALON64, now in its third year, occupies a slick space on Bateman Street, nestled between buzzing bars and tasty food joints. A stylish flexible space, it's a real home from home experience with its pop up mirrors, sleek design and luxe interiors.

Set over two floors, the space has fire pits running through the centre of its customised marble units. Styling stations feature pop up jewellery box style mirrors and charging stations, and are designed to hold refreshments and tablets.

I popped in for a trim with salon founder Ricky Walters and, lecture on how my annual haircut really ought to be a little more regular aside, it was a fab midweek treat. With a freshly made coffee from the bar, a head full of divine Davines and R&Co products and a new set of swishy layers, I waltzed out with my hair fresh, bouncy and barely an inch shorter but feeling ten times healthier.

The salon is now launching its most exciting venture yet, CLUB64, a new private members' club open to customers; the perfect pre-night out pit stop. Post-7pm the blinds come down on the glass shop front and members will gain access via a hidden facial recognition camera that only patrons will be able to identify. With beautiful interior design, private rooms, a warm elegant fire pit running through marble worktops and an expert mixologist, it's redefining the use of the salon after hours.
