All In London Review
Another hip Peckham spot where the lines between drinking, dining and dancing blur
Inside, the space is all primary colours, whitewashed walls and German beer benches on a reassuringly warehouse-chic concrete floor. The DIY style is part of the charm that had us, as soon as we stepped through the doors, immediately happy we hadn’t given up on finding it.
The Nines is yet another hip Peckham spot where the lines between drinking, dining and dancing blur. We drink amaretto sours from the concise cocktail menu (happy hour till 8pm on Saturdays), dance to the DJ playing soul 45’s from a corner and note the menu for future forays. The collection of arancini with walnut, pork belly with broad beans and mac ‘n’ cheese is made all the more appealing by the prices. A meal of sharing plates at The Nines will have you choking on the memory of what you paid the other week at The Begging Bowl for the pleasure of leaving full.
Friendly staff, solid music and a happy crowd; The Nines is worth hunting down.
