One of the key features of this airy loft-style bar, include a secret back garden, and at the front a sunny outdoor bar and decked terrace complete with picnic benches, which are both hot spots in the summer months. But don’t let that distract you from the charming indoor interior decked with brick walls and wooden horned chandeliers which create a truly urban and unique atmosphere.

The Truman Brewery’s comfy drinking hole
By day Corbet Place serves as drinking hole for those wandering around the Truman Brewery’s shops and galleries; by night it morphs into a club, however its early closing time of 11.30 pm means it’s more of a starting place from which to venture into the Shoreditch night.
As this is E1, Corbet Place has a fashionable warehouse look complete with brick walls, a long bar and shiny wooden floorboards. Most importantly there is plenty of space to accommodate thirsty shoppers at weekends when the surrounding bars are packed like sardine cans, there’s also a largeterrace for sunny days. Amply spread out slouchy sofas and low tables make up the furniture, and the heaps of space in between lends itself well to dancing – Thursday nights are devoted to ‘Forro do Galpao’, a Brazilian night with live music and forro lessons, a lively, hip-swivelling two-step dance for couples. Other nights may host electronic music, audio visual shenanigans, or East London’s favourite old trend, swing dancing.
There are cocktails for those with a sweet tooth as well as a small selection of wines and beers (as well as pear cider) with prices to match the ambitions of the area. The main selling points of Corbet Place are the comfy seats and that you may get a table indoors when neighbouring bars Big Chill and Café 1001 are full.
