This is a spacious, traditional English pub serving delicious real ale and fantastic pub grub. Lying within spitting distance of Arsenal football's Emirates Stadium, it is a proud supporter and shows all live sporting events on the large screen!
As well as being sporting enthusiasts, the team here is also partial to some quality music and as such as weekly live music and acoustic nights in the bar as well as live shows in the music venue.
Also part of The Arsenal Tavern is the upstairs Backpackers Hostel which offers good basic accommodation at affordable rates.

This is by far the worst hostel I've been in in London, not enough showers, to much staff wondering arround looking busy, poor state of the building itself, no kitchen, pretty dirty.

Good traditional pub with an excellent range of lagers, real ales in good condition & a decent Sauvignon for the Mrs. I expected it to be a bit of a boozer- I suppose it does fulfill that role but we parked ourselves in one of their Chesterfield sofas and watched both pre match and the characters in the pub. (We chatted to a couple of city boys, some locals, a local businesswoman, a market trader and a plumber - so all parts of society are at home here).
Very friendly and perhaps surprisingly from it's name and exterior extremely welcoming to my family.
Atmosphere excellent both pre and post-match - there were a few well behaved youngsters (and a dog in Arsenal colours)! in there too. We will be back.
The friendly, attentive barstaff were even dancing in unison which was fun. Good plasma TVs & a big screen to see the other games.
We will be back. Well Done.

I enjoyed my time staying at the arsenal tavern and would recommend it to others. The owners / managers were great at helping me - even letting me call home when I had an emergency on his mobile! the decoration is new and shiny for a hostel and there are people from all over the world there, who all meet downstairs in the bar. few strange characters but that comes from staying in a hostel and cant really be avoided - overall definately good choice
Have your say
