Useful Tips from AIL Users
Don't be put off by a queue, there is a reason people queue: because it's good fish and chips!

A wonderful local. I've just moved to the area and stumbled across this little corner fish shop gem. My regular go to is the small fish and chips- aka more than enough for just £2.80. Change of 20 p from a mere £3 . Unbelievable in London these days. Queues are regular. But well worth the wait. Don't tell anyone though, our little secret!

Been going to this Fish & Chips shop for several years and I have to say that without a doubt it's the best out there.
Both in terms of price and quality you won't find anything better. If you live in the area I strongly suggest you give it a try. Just try not to go on a Friday night though as it's usually very busy.

What can I say, the queues speak for themselves, I for one will continue to queue for fabulous fish and chips. Our Church run a Homeless shelter during the winter months and on the last day we have fish and chips from Michaels, wouldn't dream of going anywhere else as the staff here are so friendly and always remember and welcome their locals, the food is always fresh with flavour and very tasty. My wife and son always share a small fish and chips and the dogs always have the leftovers.

First I was only driving past this place but when I notice 5 or 6 people standing in the Q (going all the way out of the shop) in the heavy rain I decided to try this place. This place is Awesome everything is FRESH shop even smells fresh and nice. The best fish and chips I've ever been to. Plus it's very cheap !!

This has been my local chippy for years. Their food had always been delicious! I would recommend to everyone. They do all the classics like cod, plaice, pasties, sausage in batter etc. their small portions of chips can feed two adults and their large portions can feed three people. My family eat a lot so we love the portion sizes. It is very popular on Fridays and Saturdays so I would advise to go as early as possible on those days. The queues are literally out the door. It's well worth the wait if you do end up waiting to be served though

I was visiting from the U.S and when it came to Fish & Chips, this was the "go to" spot for my family in Leytonstone. The fish was fresh and tasty. The portions are on large side. I will definitely visit Michaels Fish & Chip Bar every time I visit London.

I can't believe that I am the first person to review this fish and chip shop. Light crispy batter and moist but not slimy fish, yummy! Far superior to other local chippies. Portions are available in small, medium and large, my preference is medium fish with small chips. However, their small portion is not my idea of small. The popularity of this shop ensures that fish is always freshly fried. Best avoided on a Friday evening when there are always long, long queues. Try it, you won't be disappointed and it's ridiculously cheap.
