Horrendous service, asked for half head highlights and [staff] completely messed them up. She would not style it as asked and left it curly, when I got home and styled it straight I realised why. She knew she hadn't blended it correctly. I rang her and she admitted and apologised.
I asked for a full refund in which she agreed. It never came. I rang back and first she said she never recieved any bank details and then said she "didn't know how" to do it. She then said she could not speak and asked me to ring back tomorrow, a Monday in which i reminded her she is closed. She insisted I called back Monday for no reason at all and then hung up.
Do not trust this salon. I now have to pay again for another salon to fix their mess and have gone through the credit card company to get my money back.
Welcoming stylist and very friendly! However I went for a professional colour and to elevate red tones, and ended up with a colour I could have got from a bottle! My hair is also in a very damaged/matty condition and the colour (second time round as first colour was too light) has left my hair more orange than when I went in and continues to fade more! Sadly wouldn't recommend. I hope this grows out quickly!
Charles Carter Hair is a lovely salon in Streatham. I've had my hair cut there several times and have been very happy with the result. The owner Angela always offers a warm welcome and is an expert stylist too. They also occasionally run social events which are fun and a great way to access very generous deals on their products. I bought some normally expensive Morroccan Oil for half price at one recent event. They've won several local awards and I can see why.
I've just moved into Streatham and there are so many hairdressers. I came across these guys by walking past and after only popping in for a price list I was back for a new hair cut.
The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly and the stylist spent quality time with me going over my options. I was in for a brand new look and was unsure about it all.
I'm so pleased with the results I will definitely be going back in there again.
I had a haircut at this place and it was the worst haircut I've ever had. It was models day, ok, but if they offer that service I think a manager needs to supervise. Im not going back anymore and definitely no recommend to anyone else

I can only apologise for your experience with us.
Model Day is as stated. Service prices are reduced because they are carried out buy our trainee stylists. They are still learning hence the cut in costs. All our trainees are fully supervised when in training and to encourage confidence in their work they carry out the service unaccompanied.
We do have fully trained stylists (over 30 years experience) who are fantastic at cutting hair should you wish to change your look or wish to have a better cut, we always recommend them over our trainees.
If you wish to speak to our head stylist for a corrected hair cut please speak to Angela Gordon and she will use her discretion to rectify your experience.
I really like this place and have been back 3 times now. Very friendly and they do a nice classic style if that's what you ask for. Not to pricey for a proper stylist sort of place rather than a barber shop, think I pay £12-14 for a gents cut
I went in with hair and came out with about an inch all round. I'm sure I said trim. Friendly staff and a nice looking salon, but they need to learn how to listen to, and interpret customers wants and needs. Way overpriced as well. Won't be going back, and wouldn't recommend them.
Customer service was good I was made to feel at ease the hair style I had was exactly what I requested I even had a head massage which most salons don't do.

Staff are friendly, but definitely do not know how to listen to customers and cut hair properly. I asked for a trim and the hairdresser cut off more than three inches and tried to do a bob which was so uneven and bad that I had to go to a barber to have the back fixed. I will definitely not be going there ever again.
