It’s family run, very professional, first class service.

Really friendly staff and a lovely shop. I bought my watch from them 8 years ago and would definitely buy from there again. I popped in the other day as the clasp didn't close properly. They fixed it on the spot, even though I hadn't booked it in and didn't even charge me for it. Thank you very much!
First, the shop - although it's right by the City, it's maintained as a little corner of old Clerkenwell, with all that that means to the discerning collector of precision machinery. It would be a great loss if it ever acquired a big plate-glass window, or modernised the inside. Another way in which you step back 75 years is the service. I spent ages in the shop, and enjoyed every minute. I was treated like the customer actually mattered, and the conversation ranged from very well-informed watch stuff to pleasant badinage. There's no West End snootiness here, but a great deal of relevant knowledge. It is relevant that the watchmaker's workshop its right above the premises. Jonathan had managed to find a great vintage watch: apparently it helps to have family roots in the business! He was extremely patient while I examined it inside and out, and quite reasonable in allowing a rather challenging part-exchange. There were some other lovely pieces there, so even just a browse is fun!
Amazing service and attention from Jonathan at The Antique Watch Co to help me source a unique and special wris****ch for my husband while he was traveling in London on our twentieth wedding anniversary. With very little time and no room for error, he arranged the seamless online transaction and went out of his way to secretly deliver the watch for my husband to be surprised. The gift was perfect and I highly recommend the Antique Watch Co for quality vintage watches and delightful customer service.

I first bought a watch from AWC in 1991 and still take it here to be serviced, along with a second I bought later in the 90's.
I recommend them to friends, family and business acquaintances all the time.
The service is friendly, their knowledge and professionalism is excellent and long may they continue to prosper.
Top quality service, had been considering the watch for some time and Jonathan was very professional in his advice to me. Can't recommend highly enough.
Best service by far! Have never had such a good service with a personal touch when visiting a watch specialist. Bought my Rolex GMT Master II (116710 BLNR) AWC will be getting all future business from myself and will be recommending to anyone who needs such a service.
Went above and beyond to get a gorgeous gift in a short turnaround when I was visiting from America. Also the best selection of online pocket watches around

I came to the Antique Watch Company when I was searching for a watch made by a little-know maker, one Joseph Sherwin of Burton-on-Trent. I enjoyed listening to Jonathan's deep knowledge of old pocket watches, and this one of 1850 now gives me great pleasure.
I returned to the shop this year to ask for help with a minor repair of 1931 Rotary; Jonathan did the necessary work nicely and his charge was very reasonable.
It's a pleasure to visit the shop, the standard of banter he and the staff provide is of the highest order!
Superlative expertise, kindness, and service.

Antique Watch Co (AWC) is a great shop with excellent products and outstanding service. They have the best selection of vintage Omega watches I have ever seen, and at decent prices. I bought a 1953 Omega from them in December 2016 and have been thrilled with it. The watch recently suffered a minor fault (to be expected from time to time, on a 65-year old watch) and although it was well beyond the 12-month warranty which AWC gave me when I bought it, they agreed to fix it under warranty (at no cost to me) which was beyond what I was expecting. The repair was quick (a few days including testing) and the watch is back with me now, running better than ever. This is a great example of personal service, and exemplifies the helpful and professional way AWC goes about its business. Thank you!
Really helpful and friendly.
Jonathan took my pocket watch, and within two days he'd emailed helpful and interesting information, with his offer. I accepted it, and received the money promptly in my bank account. Besides being efficient and business-like, it was a real pleasure to deal with Jonathan.
I bought a 1935 Omega from the Antique Watch Company ten years ago. Using it every day was a pleasure but gave it perhaps a harder life than it deserved. A recent full service and renovation by AWC has returned an immaculate timepiece which will receive a little more care this time! Wonderful people doing an exceedingly professional job with whom it is safe to entrust your vintage watch.
Fantastic business. I've used them twice now and have walked out both times being fully satisfied by the friendly and professional service. A brilliant example of a traditional family business in London. Highly recommended to anyone interested in vintage watches.
Really lovely guys with a passion for watches. They didn't charge me for changing a strap. Will be back. Highly recommended.
cant fault the actual work carried out but the attitude of the staff could improve - there is a defensive humourless streak in each of the 3 people i dealt with which i can't quite put my finger on... but it runs through the place like a stick of rock. By all means use them - but don't take it personally

Hi and happy new year. Many thanks for The review and sorry you felt that way. We are a small family business and some customers treat us like a personal assistant. This can spoil it for the genuine customers like yourself. I myself usually joking around as are the other guys. Maybe you caught us on a bad day? Apologies again please except a free battery change on me next time. Best Regards Jonathan

Fantastic little place. They have revived and serviced my Dad's old watch for me brilliantly over the years, so I decided to buy an Omega watch from them and it is brilliant and was very reasonable.
I cannot recommend them enough
Jonathan
Thank you very much for your expertise in my antique watch... all the best
Lovely, helpful people, they saved my watch in seconds! Highly recommend.
Very helpful and knowledgeable, with a great selection of watches. But above all, a great bunch of people to talk with about watches!
Thanks again for the help and advice, it made buying my new watch a pleasurable, reassuring process.
I didn't have a watch to repair but went in because the link on my gold plated necklace had broken. They repaired it for free in about 5 minutes, so great customer service!
Excellent service, really friendly , honest and incredibly helpful. I fully recommend these guys! I brought my 10 year old G-Shock in - the casing and strap had been destroyed and these guys spent time advising me what to do and when i brought all the relevant parts they put it together and didn't even charge me!
Clerkenwell is home to the watchmaking community and this is THE place to go.
cheers
What a great shop! Friendly, with a can-do approach, reasonable prices, bags of charm and personalised service.
The folks here have been loking after my Longines watch since I inherited it from my Dad. They have kept it going with love and ingenuity for many years and I have built up a great relationship with the staff. Lovely people, incredibly talented watch-repairers, and if there is a way to keep an old watch going they will find it. Couldn't recommend them more.
Incredibly friendly staff who naturally have a wealth of knowledge about timepieces. I walked in off the street and had a nice chat whilst getting my strap adjusted. Thanks guys!
Went in to ask for help with a strap on my watch, they did the job for me in two minutes and didn't ask for any payment, even though i would happily have paid. Very nice shop with a good stock and obviously know their business well.

Just dropped in to get a small 'fix' on my simple non-antique watch. Girl at the counter couldn't have been more welcoming. Main man at the back who did the work was pleasant and full of humour! Will drop in again for sure!
They didn't even charge me!

Fantastic service and friendly staff, these guys fixed up an antique Dior wrist watch for my wife and it came back good as new. 100% professional service.
friendly, good service, helpful and knowledgeable definitely recommend them.

Brilliant service, very helpful, honest and expert advice!
Incredibly helpful when I visited their shop with my 1965 Seiko handwind watch. They were very generous with their time to look at, and talk to me about my watch and how to look after it.
Highly recommended for professionalism, customer service and all round niceness.

What a joy to be able to find genuine craftspeople who understand older watches and have the desire to look after them with care and attention that is rarely seen in the modern consumer driven world of big stores and online sourcing platforms.
Clerkenwell Road based Antique Watch Company provided a welcome approach to a simple repair to the strap of a watch I have owned since its manufacture in the early sixties. A sympathetic approach coupled with a sound knowledge base made the experience informative ( for me! ), and enjoyable, and the simple repair was carried out in a few minutes.
If you have a watch that you cherish and want it repaired or serviced by someone who provides care and has a high level of pride in their work, I can thoroughly recommend the Antique Watch Company.
Very nice shop and helpful staff. Some fantastic watches for sale too!
Very friendly and excellent service. Repaired vintage Tudor Rolex with condensation damage and advised of all potential options before going ahead. Saved me a pretty penny when assessing the damage. Will definitely return in the future.

Simply super service.
Took my vintage Rolex in when the clasp stopped clasping - they fixed it on the spot.
Nothing too much trouble. Nothing too small.
A great place for watch lovers to know about.
Would def recommend.

Very honourable , experienced and friendly people.
Have always been able to repair any watch that I have taken in.
A lovely little antique watch shop with very dedicated staff. My watch was fixed promptly and with care, and the fix for which I originally took the piece in was done for free! If you're after passion, expertise and good customer service, you're in good hands here.
An absolute must go-to place if you have any problems with your watch - old or new. Such a friendly and 'no problem too small' attitude, even though I went in there with a (brand new) watch with only had a stiff clasp, the gentleman was more than happy to help fix it for me. The shop display, a plethora of antiques from watches to clocks and postcards, (and a signed thank you card from Kate Moss, rather impressed!) told me straight away that they love their business, the products they sell and helping people enjoy them as much as they do. After making sure my new watch fitted me perfectly (with no charge!), I left a very happy customer.
Jonathan
I received my Omega this morning and I just wanted to pass on my thanks and appreciation for this excellent time piece; it even fitted exactly to my wrist.
You are obviously a very skilled craftsman; and your expertise in restoring this watch shines through.
Thanks again; and without doubt I will be recommending and using your services again.

Great shop and fab, knowledgable staff. I inherited my dad's Omega recently and took the watch to the antique watch co for a service and a new strap. The work took time and wasn't cheap but the watch came back beautifully renewed. Then, when it stopped, they were able to get it going again and did not charge me though there was evidence that the watch had had a knock. I think this would have been a bone of contention at a lesser shop. I was not able to absolutely say for certain that it had taken an out-of-the-ordinary impact, we talked about it and I was given the benefit of the doubt.
Would definitely recommend. Had a problem with a little pin on my strap that I kept losing and they fixed it on the spot - for free!

I've used other watch shops for repairs but this place is simply the best. Jonathan and his colleagues tell you straight if it's worth doing or not, and always do a great job.

I have been a very satisfied customer of the Antique Watch company for more than sixteen years. During this time they have always been helpful, willing and able to provide great service and knowledge regarding the servicing, repair and acquisition of my watches. I love the personal service and being able to talk with a specialist. I am happy to recommend them – they have always given me good advice and great value for money.

I recently purchased a watch after much research to find a particular make and model. The Antique Watch Company were able to match my requirements and a visit to their premises proved very worthwhile and enjoyable. They were most friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend their services.

Went in yesterday to see if they could fit a new strap on my Omega just before closing time.
Not only did they fit my strap they didn't even charge me? Unheard of in this day an age.
Very friendly staff

Will be going back to buy a timepiece I'm sure.

With out doubt this is the best place in London to buy a vintage Omega watch (and probably any other brand as well). I searched London markets, shops and stalls.
The AWC have great stock....the best selection I have found!
All watches work perfectly and due to being serviced before sale by an expert. Great staff, great stock and great prices.
I will keep going back, and keep recommending them.
10 / 10.
Purchased a Rolex Oyster from Antique Watch Co, all the staff are brilliant and have a great knowledge of the watches. Couldn't have done more, would definitely use again!
A great traditional small business that values the customer, and it shows. Great knowledge and very helpful. Many thanks!
