Mrs G Morris-Osborne
from East Ham for Walthamstow collection

May 8, 2023

Booked a collection from my mother’s home on 24/04/23 for 06/05/23 as that was the only earliest option with alternative date of 08/05/23 the email with the confirmation of the collection ref ID was sent promising a phone call within 5 days , which was never received. I have been trying to contact the shop via telephone number provided for 2 days and left a few messages over the 2 days but there has been no response and the collection is supposed to be happening today, but I have been given no time. If there was a change of plans around the coronation, surely someone should have called me to let me know it has been cancelled. This date should not been offered in the first place. Should be returning the key to landlords today - hopefully they have the same issue and no one is around until Tuesday 10/05/23 now. Thoroughly disappointed with this service thus far.

Very sorry that I did not read reviews before, making a purchase from this store. Was given a delivery day Thursday 25th august between 1pm to 7pm received a call
at 18.08 from driver on his mobile stating that the delivery is 5 mins away. Up to know I am still waiting. Even after phoning back persons mobile no received no response. Manners does not cost anything especially after waiting nearly 7 hours for the delivery which is not free as pay for it jokers.

I bought three pieces from the BHF store in Leytonstone- a book case, dressing table and a TV. They had a good range of furniture so there was plenty to choose from. I found the staff in the store (on a busy Saturday afternoon) very helpful and attentive. I also found them to be very accomodating when it came to booking delivery dates (for which there is a charge). On the day of the delivery (yet another busy Saturday) I called to confirm that everything was OK. Again, I found the staff very accomodating- they were happy to contact their driver to find out how soon my furniture would be delivered. When the delivery guys turned up they were also really helpful despite the difficulty in getting a parking space close to my building. My only gripe is that the store number advertised on the website is an 0844 number- it would be much more convenient (and affordable) for their customers, if they were to display their 0207/ 0208 number.

When I bought some furniture the lady in the shop was lovely. But when I went out for 5minutes, and missed the delivery when I called the member of staff that answered was common and rude!!!!
