The Turk's Head Cafe

An excellent traditional caff with extras. All day breakfasts, inc vegetarian version, paninis, a variety of hot and cold lunches and range of coffees. Based in an old pub, now a community enterprise, the current management is ironically Turkish. This means ... some Turkish dishes hoorah eg meze or a hot kofte lunch are always available. Suitable for breakfast, brunch, lunch and afternoon tea (great cakes) with outdoor dining by an adjacent park when it is sunny. Good supply of papers and magazines for those who like to eat and read, plus they sell publications from the Wapping local history group, and have photo exhibitions in the basement.

Friendly staff - the only flaw here is that service can be slow when everyone piles in. Nice change from pub grub.
