They need to be honest and own up to mistakes.
If a customer is dealing with you amicably and has waited a long time for an item that you have lost, you must be honest enough to admit to it and be sensible enough to replace the item that you lost.
Better service and more personable approach required.
Can't say I'll ever be using their services again as a number of people also seem to have similar stories; worse in some cases

STAY AWAY FROM THEM
I went to this dry cleaner two weeks ago to clean my winter coat which I bought in Poland for around 80 pounds. After few day I went there to pick it up my coat, but the told me something is wrong with it, its too dirty!!!! but this coat was not even that dirty I just wanted refresh it cos it was 2 years old. I went there again and they gave me completely RUINED coat. Missing parts, looks like 20 years old, dirty, looks like was not iron for years, its absolutely disgusting. He said producer lied cos its not 100% poliester. I spent there around 10 min and he said he cant help me, he does not know where is missing part and he is closing. He took my home address, but obviously never sent it to me. Terrible place, terrible service I will never recommend this place.

I have been using them for the last 12 years and take the liberty of scripting an amalgamated feedback as their long standing customer. Started off badly when I had a dispute with regards to an alteration job in 1999 - owner resolved it in an amicable manner thereby converting me to their establishment as a long-standing customer!
On the Upside:
1. Usually warm welcome from both the young chap in the morning and the friendly ma'am in the eve (despite the rush-hour traffic of Northern Line Commuters).
2. Fairly happy with the affordable prices and quick turn-around - they recently drycleaned my Suit in under 3 hours.
3. Quality - Drycleaning is of high standard with fresh 'non-drycleaning' smell. Pressing is superb, especially for awkward attire. Surprised that quality was preserved for my express jobs in the past despite large orders.
4. Shirt service is almost addictive as the cuffs always come out crisp and clean - be aware if you are planning for one off cleaning as you will get hooked on their shirt service!!!
5. They usually bend over backwards for accommodating difficult jobs - I wanted my suits/wife's dress to be delivered to Gatwick which they did at no cost with short notice). They even repaired the loose buttons.
6. The young chap is articulate, knowledgeable and smart - now sure what prompted him to be a drycleaner. He should be a journalist or work in the square mile!
7. The owner puts in a lot of blood & sweat in his business and is forever canvassing for "improvement" feedback - I ought to have charged for my free feedback over the years!
On the downside. . .
a) Rush Management on busy evening though they have now extended their hours but avoid 1800-1830 on Thursdays. Should open even earlier as I leave for work at 6:30am.
b) Shop interior needs space as can only accommodate 8-10 people at a time. May have to wait outside during busy periods.
c) They have stopped laundry ironing service which was a great

I wouldn't use this dry cleaners again. They've shrunk three of my dresses. The first couple of times I mentioned it to the owner and he said it was impossible. The shrinkage was only slight so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. However, they've just ruined a £200 dress that I gave them to dry clean; it's totally ruined and I'm very upset as it was a favourite of mine that I'd been planning to use for an important business meeting. My advice is STAY CLEAR OF THIS DRY CLEANERS IF YOU VALUE YOUR CLOTHES.
