I am local to this branch of b.e.m. and i am very surprised at the comments given by the other two reviews on here. I buy all my electrical/lighting goods from the finchley branch as they offer the best service and have the best product knowledge i have ever come across. Not only our the staff friendly they our very professional. Recently i took there advice on changing my lamps over to l.e.d. and i am now saving a small fortune on my lighting bill. thanks b.e.m.

You'd think that during a recession a local shop, competing with superstores, would concentrate on good service. Not this place, I'm afraid. The service I received was surly, bordering on downright rude. This was my first visit to the shop - it was also my last. Definitely somewhere to avoid.

Phoned the number on their main page of this site to check if they stocked stuff. They told me they did. Drove to the shop just by Summer Lane and asked for the stuff. They told me they didn't stock it, and had no idea who I'd spoken to. Suggested it could be another branch, but that they wouldn't stock it either. Very frustrating.
