I’ve been natural for the past 12 years and I went to get my hair done here not too long ago. I’ve gotten my hair done before with my friend and my curls remained intact. However this establishment in 3 hours both damaged and ruined the curls that I had on my head as not once during the process of getting my hair dyed, did the shop owner bother to check on my hair with the bleaching. When I confronted her, absolutely distraught about the damage that had been done to my hair and the fact that my hair was falling off due to the poor service that had been done(because as we all know a black woman’s pride and joy is her hair) and rightfully requesting a full refund, I was gaslighted and told that it was ‘my fault’ and that ‘if your hair is breaking, just cut it off’. Bearing in mind that after cutting it short in March 2022, I had since been growing out my hair in hopes to be able to braid it and so forth.
This owner refused to bear any responsibility about damaging my natural hair and now I’ve had to completely shave my hair off as my hair could not handle to level of damage done to it.
Do not go to this shop at all if you wish for healthy hair! The shop owner will most definitely also ruin your hair and refuse to claim any responsibility for it!
