Just back from a gel mani & pedi at Hannahs Nail Bar. Face masks being worn by staff and customers, perspex screens in place to shield in addition to masks, temperature checks on arrival and regular sanitising. They even give you your own pack of files etc that can't be sterilised to use and then take away. They are set up so well it made me feel much less anxious than I thought I might. Also lovely to see the team back in action again.

This is my regular salon for manicures and pedicures and I find them better than most. Their customer service/attitude isn’t great but, their skills are great and their prices are reasonable.

Perfect shaped nails, smooth edges (something I find difficult to find) and even polish. They’re perfectionists so if they notice something like an air bubble in the polish, for example, they don’t let you leave without fixing it.

I used this salon about a year ago for nails for my wedding and found the service so cold that i never wanted to go back. However, my friend recently got married and wanted to have her nails done here as she had a great service, so we went back. Surprise surprise, nothing has changed in the last 12 months. The staff are cold and uninterested and make no attempt to engage you in conversation. The staff made my friend and i feel very uncomfortable and despite asking for a particular service, the staff did their own thing to my friends nails resulting in her becoming very upset and insisting they remove her nails and start again. I am going to attend another salon to have my nails removed and never return to this venue again.

Such a shame... I would have thought that because this Salon was in the heart of Blackheath village it would be quaint and professional. Unfortunately on entering the building you notice there is no ambience, no relaxing music; just a cold atmosphere. I came here for a gel manucure/pedicure birthday treat and found the technicians to be stand-offish and I did not feel special at all. Worse yet, I felt they filed my nail plates too hard, stripping their moisture, and I was right; my gel nails were removed elsewhere recently and I saw the glue had engrained into my nails. Go somewhere nicer.

AVOID. Ended up with nails filed unevenly (there was actually a dip in one of them) and patchy colour. The technician disappeared downstairs so when I noticed I couldn't bring it to her attention. £15 wasted as I will have to re-do my nails when I get home. AVOID.
