I use Lidl in Edmonton Green quite often. Sometimes when i visit i tend to question how the staff in charge understand the treats from Covid-19 and how it is spread.
The maintenance of social distance is not always the best.
Additionally the staff and their behaviours are more likely to cause the spreading of covid-19 to increase.
The shop floor is often busy and there is a lot of activities.
Some of the staff raise their voice unreasonably and unnecessarily.
There is a girl who seems to think that she must raise her voice. Shout on top of her voice in order to tell the queue to move the next customer to the tills.
This shouting is unnecessary.
Quite often as she opens her mouth to shout "NEXT, NEXT CUSTOMER" her face mask also often slips. So as she is shouting she is also releading saliva spits and vapour into the congregated queue.
When she approaches a customer to help, she opens her mouth and again starts talking and shouting on top of her voice.
Her behaviours and lack of proper attention to what the impacts of her actions could expose customers to appear to be of nj concern to her at all.
All she does is shout and keep shouting. Her shouting is dangerous and can spread covid-19 but she doesn't sem abke to change her pattern of working.
This afternoon i went to Lidl to shop.
Quite often it is not clear which till accepts cash ans which doesn't.
I tried putting in £5 to oay for my shopping.
The till will not take the money.
When i tried to draw this lady's attention to my predicament, she approached me talking very loudly and shouting. This releases saliva vapour to escape feom her face mask and spread. The face mask is not tight enough. It also slips fromvher face when she starts talking.
As she approached me i turned my face to avoid facial contact because she kept talking and shouting.
Because ibwas looking away from her. She didn't help me.
She took the plastic bag from me because i wouldn't pay 20p for a bag i didn't really need.
Then jnsted of helping me.
She staryed accusing me of wasting everyone's time. She cobtinued shouting at me and talking
She failed to help me. So i tried to use another outlet but i noticed it had a note saying CARDS ONLY.
So i came back to the one i was using originally and the transaction had still not been cleared from the screen
This delay caused another customer services assistant. A man in dark blue shirt and trousers.
This man was not even bothered about covering his mouth with a face mask. He came towards me and was also shouting and talking.
I am concerned about how Lidl is training its staff to be able to work without exposing other people to the dangers of covid-19.
Lidl must warn its shop floor assistants that talking and shouting in the shop floor poses a ckear danger of spreading covid especially in a crowded space like this lidl supermarket in Edmonton Green.
I like the shop. It is convenient but the staff needs proper professional training.
Lidl is a supermarket selling a wide selection of groceries and frozen, chilled and tinned food. They also sell a range of cosmetics.
