Its a stretch but he was a very secluded eccentric type of person and could be very shy and all that, they say at the end he was not seeing any of his friends at all no visitors and things like that, who knows maybe he decided to permanently hide away and is alive and kicking somewhere, who knows (big MJ fan)

The same nonsense was rumoured about Elvis Presley and Bruce Lee, shortly after their deaths. Many also presently believe the same to be true about Tupac Shakur as well....but it's time to let go. Michael Jackson was already recognised as the world's most famous entertainer...so, if he had already possessed that level of fame, what would he have (or need) to gain by faking his own death?
