So, who's going to vote for Boris then?

I was amazed that he intends to keep the Congestion Charge in place should he get in.

What do you guys reckon, would Boris be up to the job?

Although he's always looked on as a bit of a prat, at least he's no-nonsense and straight talking and it might be nice to experience some slightly right-of-centre politics for a change.

Ken's been OK though, although I think there've been some fairly mixed messages on transport - the CC signals that cars aren't OK, the ever-rising underground fares make taking the tube prohibitive and if you dare cycle into London there's nowhere to chain your bike and you get it confiscated if you lock it to a railing.
Do you want people to get into London Ken... or is it reserved purely for tourists now?

Anyway, that's my two-pennyworth...

I think I heard something on the news yesterday about Boris getting rid of Bendy-Buses, is this true? If so I have to agree with this policy, those bloody things are unsafe for both passengers and pedestrians, it's the equivalent of sailing the QE2 along the river Lugg, rediculous.

Good to see the CC policy, it's clearly working IMO.

Don't know if I'd be able to take him seriously though - Boris always comes across as a bit of a baffoon. I'm sure he'd be a great after dinner speaker/ pub drinking team member/ Have I Got news For You host, but would you want hime making policies for the city?
Inforced hair bleaching? Bumbling lessons? Brogue-wearing classes?
Seems like a thoroughly nice bloke, but hardly a hard-line politician.

Sorry Boris, not for me.

Does the mayor really control the economy? His decisions will have an impact, but control it? I doubt it.

So Boris is now the official candidate?

Looking forward to the build up to the election, should be very amusing

Hey Lizzie

Are you part of the Back Boris campaign or something?

Do you know what his stance is on public transport pricing? I'd like to see some sensible policies that will curb the crazy increases we've seen over the past 3-4 years.
