This is really quite a find. It's tucked away just behind Marble Arch, so a very good location, but its style is that of a family run place producing high quality food at reasonable prices. It's always popular and has a lot of regulars both at lunchtime and in the evening, so booking is advisable. It's a restaurant and wine bar combined, with the wine bar at the front spilling out onto the pavement in the summer, and upstairs and downstairs dining rooms as well.
The fresh pasta dishes are always good, and the Parma ham starter is certainly generous. For my most recent visit my guest had a veal escalope main course and I had an osso buco, both excellent.
We also got a good laugh from the waiter who offered black pepper with our coffees - he may have been due for a day off.....
Highly recommended.
