In celebration of two of the capital’s biggest dates in September, London Design Festival and London Fashion Week, Regent Street will welcome back Fashion & Design Month. A complimentary, month-long programme of events, talks and activities; Fashion & Design Month offers visitors to Regent Street the chance to experience London’s world class fashion and design industries from the inside. Please see below for further information on the programme for this year.

SPEAKER SERIES
Kick starting the action this year is the return of the Regent Street Speaker Series. Having sold out during 2016, this year’s Speaker Series will feature more talks from more of London’s leading lights, in a whole host of new locations in and around Regent Street. Confirmed speakers this year include designer Bella Freud, celebrity hairstylist Sam McKnight, award-winning international photographer, David Montgomery, fashion journalist and stylist Shelly Vella, content creator Shini Park and the renowned architects behind the Dulwich Pavilion, IF_DO, among others.

This year’s speakers will talk about their career highlights, their views on the industries they work in, and their upcoming projects. Hosted within the plush surroundings of Regent Street’s most stylish eating and drinking destinations, including Thomas’s Café at Burberry and Hotel Café Royal, Ralph’s Bar at Polo Ralph Lauren, these free talks are available to reserve for free, on a first-come-first-served basis.

STYLE SKETCH SHOW
Returning to the street for the second year, in a bigger and better way, is Regent Street Style Sketch Show, which sees some of London’s leading fashion illustrators take to the street to sketch its best-dressed shoppers. Jo Bird and Willa Gebbie will spend Saturday 9th September roaming Regent Street’s flagship stores including lululemon, Kate Spade, Aquascutum and Tory Birch, with their paints and pencils in hand. Those shoppers lucky enough to find them will be invited to pose for a painting, and will be able to take home their unique work of art at the end of the day.

CREATIVE CLASSES
A first for Fashion & Design Month, Regent Street will also be introducing Creative Classes; a programme of hands-on workshops and tutorials hosted in stores up and down the street. Taking place during lunch hours and early evenings, Regent Street Creative Classes are aimed at helping Londoners to find a moment of calm and creativity during their busy days. From learning to photograph London’s skyline at sunset, to life drawing classes at Heddon Street’s Tibits and wool workshops at Uniqlo, Regent Street Creative Classes are free to attend, and encourage Londoners to tap into their inner creativity.
