This casual local has been transformed into an uncomfortable creature. A blot on the landscape run by a clot of a man ape. Over priced, unwelcoming with the manager arguing and occasionally fighting with customers. To improve the food needs to be cheaper and less dramatic, the atmosphere needs to improve, but that will mean removing the manager.
This review was written in August 2014, so if reading 12 months later there may well be a new manager and your experience better.

They say who, they say when, they say how much...
Once rough round the edges, since its refit The Highbury Barn has become a fully-fledged gastropub working with local food suppliers like Godfrey’s butchers. A popular pub among Arsenal supporters, expect it to be packed to the rafters on match days.
