All In London Review
Cafe by day, super-hip bar by night...
Set up in a shop that formerly offered legal services to Peckham Rye Lane, Lerryn’s has swapped the law for, in her own words, ‘great coffee, bloody great Mary’s and stuff on toast’. And although we’ve yet to try the stuff on toast (think chilli jam) we can vouch for the coffee.
DJ’s play relaxed sets from the end of the bar on weekends, cocktails make an appearance from Thursday onward (we drank the rum an’ ting) and beers are served from stubby cans, which for some reason feels like a weirdly chic way to get loaded on lager. The DIY factor holds a lot of the appeal at Lerryn’s and despite the fact that this was only recently transformed from an office shell you can see from the likes of the hand painted sign and the personalised menus, that the place has already got soul.
