The origins of the Old Truman Brewery date back to the 18th century when it was indeed London’s largest brewery, employing over 1,000 people. It was successful until the 1970s, eventually closing down in 1988. A private company took care of redevelopment and the site now contains around 250 different businesses, attracting local hipsters and tourists in their droves. Additionally, the former brewery building’s alleys and warehouse-style spaces are often favoured by stylists for photoshoots - keep your eyes peeled for a top model.
