This leafy suburb is considered the wealthy side of the borough of Harrow, with wide tree-lined streets, large detached houses and flat conversions in attractive Edwardian buildings. Pinner also boasts the lowest crime rate of the whole of London, and the single-sex schools have a prestigious reputation, making it a popular area for affluent families. Rather than be taken over by retail chains the high street contains many independent outlets and a few worthwhile restaurants. Pinner is also a popular area for filming, having appeared as the setting for Channel 4’s The Inbetweeners and the BBC’s My Hero.
