First home of the German Gymnasium Society, a sporting association established in London in 1861, and arguably the first purpose-built gymnasium in Britain, D&D have breathed new life into this historic building, creating a restaurant, grand café, bars and a terrace serving the best of central and northern European food throughout the day.
As the name suggests, there will be some specially selected and prepared German dishes from half-German executive chef Bjoern Wassmuth, but the menu will extend considerably across the European continent and won't be limited by the restaurant's Germanic name.
