It's nice to eat out... when it's not piddling down

Bluebird may have recently appeared on Made In Chelsea, but it’s been delighting the neighbourhood for quite some time, particularly when it comes to breakfast. The courtyard has a barbecue and screens for showing sporting events.

Warm your cockles when it's cold out there...

Chelsea’s heated courtyard faces the King’s Road, so there are people-watching opportunities aplenty (albeit through a hedge). There’s a separate menu to the main restaurant, offering hearty dishes like veal schnitzel, croque monsieur and steak.

Arbiter of Taste

Such a great shame to see a restaurant that was once a favourite go into such a steep decline.

Whilst the setting remains one to admire I regret to report that the quality of food is at best average and the service appallingly amateur. This would not ne what Mr Conran had in mind for any of his establishments!

The monkfish curry was a pitiful attempt at at stylish Indian meets SW3 and for the sake of good taste should be taken off the menu as soon as possible. Avoid!

Whilst there were a good many staff on duty on a Wednesday evening and all had the appearance of being busy it was a challenge to see exactly what is was that gave them this appearance.

If you are a full paid up member of that shallow breed who so admire style over substance then you will no doubt find this venue acceptable. If this were in NYC the place would be closed down in a matter of weeks at most.

I hope that someone responsible reads this and responds in a positive manner to the criticism. I would be very happy if the dining experience at The Bluebird could be restored to the standard of days gone by.

Maybe they had a great service in 2006 but definitely not now! We went for brunch with a group of friends and we all agreed the service was so poor. It seemed like all the staff were unkind and very poorly trained. When they brought the coffee the plate was all full of coffee, they forgot to order one of the breakfast so our friend could just eat when we had all finished..no one actually apologised and we had to repeatedly ask for cutlery, butter, marmalade as they didn't even bother in serving us properly. Taking into account the very expensive bill we paid I will never go back as it is not worthwhile the very bad service. This was not only one member of staff but actually all of them except only one who just came to find out what was going on because we had to complain.

My boyfriend took me there for dinner, and I must say the service was great. It was over priced but for the perfect service it was worth it. It's in Chelsea so you would have to have that mind state to accept the other guest in the resturant. They were unpleasant, however as far as the resturant was concered it was great. Great food, (more sea food), Great Wine and Great Service. I'm sure we will go back.
