After walking up and down clapham high street i ended up in this place and would say never have i been to a restaurant where you have a minimum charge of £16 per head and extra if you want breast of chicken. we ordered bombay potato and popodoms as a starter and was pushed into trying to order something else to which i said no. Then as no supprise to me the waiter still brought the dish he offered us. I sent it back and got what i asked for. Then when mine and my girlfriends main came out the chicken was the horrible strangly bits you would normally throw away. To top it off i could see the waiters looking over and laughing as if they had done something to my food as i did order a vindaloo to which he said its hot.
I do know i felt like saying i have only been eating it for years.
I just could not wait to get out of this place and asked for the bill when it came to the table everything was scribbled so that i could not see what it said and the bill for two with one starter one main each one rice one naan one beer and a tap water £40 what a rip off please please please stay away!!!!

Unfortunately, the curry/food/ taste was not up to even low standard, complete rubbish, and the waiters were indifferent and rude. Will not be going back there.

Very disappointed with this restaurant. The staff were rude, the food and wine was poor. It also seemed very over-priced for what it was.

PS. They have had a full refurb so the place is much more in keeping with the high street!

One of my favourtie places to eat in Clapham and possibly the best Indian this side of the Thames. Service can sometimes be a little akward, mainly due to new staff finding their feet but 9 times out of ten it is fine. The food is amazing, only once have I ever had to send anything back - trust me I eat here a lot!
I would definitely recommend this place if you like inidan cuisine as not only is the menu great, you can custom your food to your own taste - mine is the Chicken Tikka Jafrezi extra hot yum yum!

Food was very, very average (incredibly oily) and the service was seriously poor. Go elsewhere.

Terrible! The worst indian I have encountered. Went for the tandoori chicken - almost unrecognisable in colour and tatste. barely any meat. revolting.
some old guy hanging about behind the bar crunching on bones. rude staff - got the odd grunt.
can't understand why anyone in their right mind would go there twice.

Hard to be constructive about this restaurant. Blunt, rude service. Bland, undercooked food. Small, cramped seating and twee indian interior. Totally out of place on Clapham's ever-impressive bustling high street.
The food was average, really average, but what really rankles is the absurdly rude service. Our only communication with the staff was a series of grunts and demands. If I have to say something positive at least it wasn't too expensive, but then again given the poor quality of the experience it felt like a rip off.
Avoid.
