Slow service, we had to ask 3 times for our wine and when it came it was Rose rather than the White we had ordered. The people at the next table told us they had been given chocolate ice cream instead of strawberry. Our starter was the pane Con cipolla which was a bland chewy pizza base with pale onion jam and cheese. This arrived fairly promptly and was removed as soon as we had finished but we then had to wait ages for our main course. My husband had the gourmet burger which he really enjoyed, but I had Fusilli alla rusticana which listed the first ingredient as chicken but only contained 3 pieces. The dish looked unappetising and was edible but not enjoyable so I only ate half. The restaurant was very busy with the tables crammed together. The staff were rushed off their feet but even so I thought they could have been friendlier. The manager in particular had a very abrupt manner. Not recommended

visited in october 2008 for half term.wanted romantic meal for two in warm quiet cozy place near to tube station.Welcomed immediatley by waitress who quickly sorted a table near the open plan kitchen so we could watch the chef making pizzas while waiting for drinks. Were originally only going to have main meals but good prices and seeing the size of the portions for the price going past to other tables meant we opted for two starters (soup and crab cakes), two pasta dishes for mains, brushetta bread as a side dish and two alcohol drinks each. Bill came to £50 which we felt was a bargain. Restaurant was clean, warm, not too crowded with tables. Waitress was friendly but not too "in your face" leaving us to enjoy a rare night out as a couple instead of parents!Good food, tasty and different but not too pretencious. Huge portions with no room left for pudding which, if you knew me, you would be most surpirsed even i couldn't squeeze in a little something!definately will be returning and think it is shame one review added so far might put people off. We walked for over an hour tha night to find somewhere we felt looked nice and not too out of our budget range for one meal out in a whole week spent in london with our five year old son. We felt Prezzo fitted the bill and have already recommended it to friends for its quaint look, its tasty and well priced food and most importantly its prime location just around the corner from Piccadilly tube station meaning people can find it easily but its a little out of the way from the main hussle and bussle of the main street too so you dont feel "gorped at" by passers by all the time. If pushed for a downside, i would say toilets were miles away down two flights of stairs which took some wobbling down after a full meal!100% satisfied with our visit and going back again this November!Well done to all staff there

Food:average
Service:worst service I've had in years

We asked if we could sit with some friends that had arrived earlier; the response was a rude "Why?”

We were also rudely attacked by the waitress after she had served us the drinks and not everybody in our company wanted a main course. She told us we had to order a main course each since they had no licence to serve just alcohol. She was very forceful and blamed us for not telling her before we'd ordered the wine. The manager came & attacked us straight away; she was even ruder & said we should know about this rule since it applies to all restaurants. She even told us we couldn't have the wine but we had to pay for it & then lea
