Mark Hix has taken over the Tramshed building, originally constructed in 1905 and created a unique restaurant and art gallery. It's all about steak and chicken at Tramshed with a simple menu; seasonal sharing starters, followed by chicken or steak.
There's a mezzanine floor which gives diners the opportunity to enjoy elevated views of the restaurant for 40 guests and also perfect view of the Damien Hirst artwork commissioned especially for the space by Hix. Naturally it depicts a cow and a cockerel in keeping with the menu! In addition, there is a bar offering cocktails and bar snacks throughout the day, and the Cock and Bull gallery in the basement with discovered and undiscovered talent on display on a four-week rotating basis.
