My wife & I went for a meal at the Prithi this evening. It's a place we have been to many times, and it has always been a bit above the average of a load of average Brick Lane restaurants. We hadn't been for 6 months or so, but the place has fallen dramatically for food quality, service, whilst the prices have increased hughly. All the food was terrible. Starters of tandoori chicken was on a par with KFC, woeful samosa's and we sent our main courses of Musallum Lamb & Lamb Tikka Masala back. Both of us now have a tummy ache. Please avoid this 'restaurant' The place has completely lost it.

I booked a table here last Thursday evening and was told on the phone they accepted the Taste London card. The chef here is supposed to have 5 stars. I don't quite see that. There was a hair in the bombay potatoes and the chicken was very dry. The food also took a while to turn up but in the main it was edible. On booking the table the manager told me he would take extra special care of us on arrival. I did not see the manager all night until it came to paying for the meal, and they would not accept my Taste London card. I argued I had booked a table and they claimed to have no knowledge of this. The manger then bought over a hefty waiter and there ended up being about 3 male waiters/staff surrounding our table behaving in a very angry manner. I argued they were still advertised on the Taste London website (and they still are) and they said they'd stopped accepting that card a long time ago. The manager then walked off, clearly ending the conversation and we had to pay full price. Will I be returning, NO!
