What an awful expereince at Sutra!The bouncers were derogatory. Much laughter and rudeness.
The bouncers openly told me and my friend, despite te fact that she previously enquired about dress code,got our names on the guestlist and dressed up, that we didn't look "classy enough to get in". they said we couldnt wear flat shoes. Other girls were let in with flats on with no problem. we questioned this and were laughed at in a derogatory fashion.My friend has recently damaged her back and told the bouncers we could go home, and even dress in designer dresses, but couldnt wear heels due to her back problems. The turned this down.
The venue seemingly only lets in a certain "mould" of person. If you are looking for a classy, but down to earth, friendly venue id stay away from Sutra! pretty much the definition of a pretentious nightclub with not much in hand in be pretentious about!
