The Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum explores the evolution of the game from garden party favourite to one of the most lucrative sports industries globally. Famous trophies, changing Wimbledon fashions and objects like a 1960s Barbie in tennis attire are part of the museum's collection of 40,000 items, as well as photographs of the tournament from across the 20th century.
Tours of the grounds are available if you want to see the facilities used by the world’s best tennis players and broadcasters, along with finding out trivia like how the grass is cared for. Serious researchers can consult the library, which has more than 15,000 books, annuals and newspaper cuttings from 90 different countries.
