Where: Scrapclub
Before Covid-19, stressed-out Londoners could visit a curious place called The Wreck Room to let off steam by smashing up things like plates and old computer monitors. Alas, it did not reopen after lockdown, but there is welcome news for fans of destruction with the arrival of Scrapclub.
Although it calls itself a "Destructivist art project" that is "exploring the motivations and effects of acts of destruction," it's all the same to us: about grabbing a sledgehammer and wreaking havoc. All the objects up for destruction are scrap, and to ensure your safety you're provided with PPE (personal protective equipment, for anyone still unfamiliar with the government's fantastic job of dishing out contracts during the pandemic).
It doesn't yet have a permanent home so sign up to their mailing list to find out when the next event is.
