Where: The Prince Regent
Under the name London Shell Co., this family-run restaurant serves high quality fish and seafood on two boats (the Prince Regent and the Grand Duchess), and at its eponymous fishmongers and eatery in Hampstead. While the Grand Duchess is permanently moored in Paddington, the Prince Regent cruises onwards to Camden Lock, passing Little Venice and Regent's Park on a two and half hour journey.
It's undoubtedly a very special backdrop for a meal, but fortunately the food is also top-notch, having earned praise from food critics including the grand dame of culinary writing Fay Maschler. Think oysters, scallops with caramelised cauliflower, and pepper-cured Dorset trout, with the option of paired wines. Perfect for a meal when you want to impress someone.
