This free museum tells the story of the UK economy and the Bank of England from 1694 to today. It has a collection of archaeological items, early banknotes and coins, artworks, sculpture and decorative art. As well as the permanent displays there are rotating exhibitions; a longterm exhibit explores the slave trade and the wealth it created, shaping Britain’s economy and development.


Its website also has interactive "exhibitions” with narrated episodes.
