Play with cats at this north London cafe

Unwind and relax with moggies
This must try is connected to: Whiskers & Cream

There are now a handful of cat cafes in London, a concept that first took hold in Japan (of course) where visitors pay a fee to spend time among felines over afternoon tea or coffee. Whiskers & Cream, near Archway in north London, also has a wine list and serves nachos, sandwiches and cakes, but no one is here for the menu.

The cafe was set up by a former NHS psychiatric nurse after she visited a similar place in the Lake District and saw its benefits for people who aren't able to keep at home. The cafe usually has around 10 resident cats, most of which are rescued and who all live on the site. Fun tip: if you walk past the cafe after closing time you might spot a few of these delightful furries roaming around or sleeping through the window.
