Research historical national records, or your family tree

This must try is connected to: The National Archives

The National Archives houses official government and court records from around the 11th century until the present day. The vast amount of information contained here enables you to research your family history, read through fascinating curios like Winston Churchill's grandmother's instructions to distribute her possessions, or examine the patent for the UK's first flush toilet.

The Domesday Book is also here, an important document that detailed land ownership in England following the 1066 Norman Conquest - although it doesn't cover London, this is of great historical interest as it gives an insight into the establishment of England's monarchy and feudal system.
