Having run the Camden Lock Bookshop (now located in Old Street) since 1984, it’s fair to say that the new owners of Burley Fisher know a thing or two about the London book scene. The opening of an independent bookstore in 2016 is big news. Located on Kingsland Road, the store will focus on new titles from indie publishers as well as classics, art, design and poetry. Naturally, there will also be a dedicated London section.
Celebrating the book in its original form, the beauty of the physical page, Burley Fisher is a serene, contemporary space in which to browse for books. Coffee and pastries will also be served. Support your local bookstore!
