Tate Tap Takeover

This month Tate is delighted to welcome top US craft brewery, Stone Brewing, to take over the taps at the Tate Modern Terrace Bar. Drop down for a Soul of a Nation inspired evening of beer drinking, soul food, music and a one-off meet the brewer talk.

Founded in 1996, Stone has consistently been one of the fastest-growing and highest-rated breweries in the world. Currently the 10th largest craft brewer in the United States, Stone is known for brewing unique, big-character, aggressive beers, that feature bold flavours, defying the traditional style guidelines and expectations. 

On the night expect to sample 5 of their delicious craft beers whilst finding out about their brewing process, culture and journey at the meet the brewer talk which will focus on architectural brewery design and illustrations.

Special to this event will be a soundtrack of soul music, curated by the team behind the Soul of a Nation exhibition. From Bob Marley, one of most inspirational and influential artists in music, to the poetry of Linton Kwesi Johnson and the genius of Stevie Wonder, the playlist showcases the vital contribution of Black artists to music. The food offering will reflect the theme of the evening with a selection of soul food including buttermilk fried chicken, corn slaw and creole fries.

The teams behind Tate and Stone Brewing will be available throughout the evening with a shared aim to appreciate craft beer to the back drop of classic soul tunes. Everyone is invited to come and taste beers you love, learn more if you’re not sure and experience some great craft beers.
