We are a nation of tea drinkers drinking 60 billion cups a year. Not each obviously, although some builders come close. We drink more tea than all other manufactured drinks (coffee, coke, beer etc) put together. But what do we know about tea? Aside from where to find it in the Supermarket and the optimum time required for the perfect dunk, very little.

In his first full length show, Jeremy O’Donnell will reveal tea’s dark past from it’s accidental discovery five thousand years ago to the Cutty Sark via an arranged Royal wedding and the Boston Tea Party.
The show also covers tea’s health benefits, has some speech writing advice for David Cameron and tries to answer the greatest unanswered question of them all – Is it milk in first or second?

Jeremy O’Donnell has drunk tea and performed comedy all over the UK and abroad in cities from Beijing to Zurich.

‘You Can’t Buy Pyramid Teabags in Egypt’ comes to London following a highly successful run at the Leicester Comedy Festival.
