Live Jazz London - Kenny Wheeler Quintet. The quintet features Kenny Wheeler, Stan Sulzmann, John Parricelli, Chris Laurence and Martin France. The quintet has been performing together for many years both here in the UK and on the continent and each of the players has a long association performing and recording the music of Kenny Wheeler in a variety of settings, from both big band to small group.
The programme for the concerts will include material both old and new with some music that has rarely been heard before from the vast library of original compositions that Kenny has written over the years. All the players feature in Kenny's Big Band which performed to rave reviews at last years London Jazz Festival promoting the new CD "The Long Waiting" - CAM JAZZ CAMJ 7848-5.
