The first TEDx event ever held at the Royal Albert Hall, TEDxAlbertopolis will be a half-day of inspiring and entertaining talks exploring how science, medicine and technology coexist with the arts in modern society.

Speakers from a wide range of disciplines will share their unique perspective on the space where art and science meet.

Those appearing at this year's TEDxAlbertopolis include:

Professor Dame Sally Davies, the Chief Medical Officer for England
David Braben FREng computer game designer and co-founder of the Raspberry Pi Foundation
John Halpern*, cryptic crossword setter for The Guardian, The Times, The Financial Times, The Independent and The Daily Telegraph
Nicholas McCarthy, the only left-handed pianist to graduate from the Royal College of Music
Max Barclay, Collections Manager at the Natural History Museum
Roland Lamb, designer and entrepreneur
Hannah Redler, Head of Media Space and Arts Programme at the Science Museum

TEDxAlbertopolis is aimed at students and professionals, academics and non-academics, families and young people alike: if you have a curious mind, TEDxAlbertopolis will be for you.

Please note that in keeping with the spirit of TEDx talks and its ethos of 'ideas worth spreading' this event will have non-allocated seating.
