Britain’s most iconic home event and winner of Consumer Show of the year 2010, the Ideal Home Show is back, for its 106th year running from the 14th – 30th March at London’s Earls Court.

With seven dedicated sections under one roof, which include: flagship Ideal Show Homes, ideal Home Improvements, ideal Interiors, ideal Gardens sponsored by Hydropool, ideal Technology, ideal Food & Housewares, as well as ideal Shopping and ideal Woman, sponsored by Lexus, this year’s show will be the biggest and best to date.

• Celebrities Galore - hosted by fabulous celebrity Ambassadors which include; TV presenter and architect George Clarke, gadget expert Suzi Perry, food critic Gregg Wallace, garden expert Diarmuid Gavin, interiors icon Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, and TV presenter Melinda Messenger as ambassador of Ideal Woman, there will be more live demonstrations and expert advice than the show has ever seen.
• The Super Theatre – the celebrity ambassadors will also be taking to the returning Ideal Super Theatre - a purpose-built stage which will host talks and demonstrations from the celebrities and a whole host of other household names including Martin Lewis, Founder and Editor of Moneysavingexpert.com, making it the ultimate place to pick up the tips and tricks to improve your home.
• Ideal Show Village - The centre piece of this year’s show will see a series of 5 Show Homes, the largest Village to date, built in Earls Court for visitors to explore.

The Prince's Foundation for the Built Environment has this year invested in three different homes to suit different markets - first time buyers, families or retired couples:
o The Downsizing House - a three-bedroom bungalow, this house demonstrates solutions that address how we can respectfully house the elderly population and allow families to support them.
o The Starter Home - an efficient, three-bedroom Vernacular home, this house is aimed at established first time home buyer.
o The Urban Castle - a four bedroom Arts & Crafts inspired home, which turns the 20th century notion of a 'suburban castle' on its head.
• In addition the Ideal Home Show will also feature two further unique show homes:
• A breakthrough in housing, the Multi-Generation Home, styled by House Beautiful, is a property that can be taken to site, erected and become habitable within 24 hours. The Generation Home aims to be the answer to the current housing shortage and tailored to suit how families live together today, with multiple generations using the same space for different needs.
• Bringing the 'wow' factor is the Luxury 7 Star Apartment which offers an aspirational experience for visitors. The Luxury Apartment will come with its own affinity pool, marble floors and luxury furnishings. What is more, the home will also have strong green credentials.

• This year will also see the return of DIY Hero of the Year where men will compete against women by undertaking DIY tasks live on stage, under the watchful eye of our celebrity ambassadors, George Clarke and Melinda Messenger.
• Interiors Room Sets - Ideal Home Magazine will once again be bringing their room sets back to the show, offering style ideas for every room of the house, from kitchens to bedrooms and bathrooms they'll provide inspiration on alternative ways to utilise space.
• Celebrating Prince George's 1st Birthday - for the fourth year running, this year's Ideal Home Show is inviting professional cake decorators from across the UK to show off their decorating skills by entering the 'ideal Cake Decorator of the Year' competition.
