Wormfood presents: Gypsy Hill, Gypsy Balkin big beat swing + Samson Sounds, African highlife and blues, to Kwaito with bass + State of Play, Rock, soul and hip-hop +DJ2Old4School, Dub, funk, jazz + more.

GYPSY HILL, who play an intoxicating mix of Balkan brass, Mediterranean surf rock, ska and swing. Featuring guitars, horns, tuba, a scratch DJ and a mix of live and electronic beats, Gypsy Hill effortlessly mix the traditional with a uniquely modern sound. Producers DJ Kobayashi and Herbert Newbert have taken the project from studio to stage, gradually growing the band and honing their high-energy live hows.

+ SAMSON SOUNDS:
a 4 piece live electronic act from the city of Glasgow. Their roots spring from the original Samson Soundsystem, a heavyweight handmade soundsystem built in 2008. This is shown by the large dub influence on their sound that incorporates musical elements from jazz, African highlife and blues to kwaito and steppas. The grooves played are tight, solid and never fail to bring warm happy vibes to any event.

+ STATE OF PLAY:
fusing elements of blues-based rock, socially conscious hip hop, and electronic influences, the band produces an utterly distinctive signature sound. Aiming for mass appeal while remaining anti-populist, SOP harness the tension between their politically leaning lyrics and anthemic rock music.

+ DJ2OLD4SCHOOL:
from Lisbon, bringing you dub, funk, jazz, rock, afro-beat, disco, house, dubstep, breaks and drum and bass!
