Sublive have carved out a singular reputation for live music and DJ programming in South London. On April 9th they present the EP launch of one of the most exciting bands to step onto a Sublive stage over the past 3 years: Native Dancer. Winning early support from the likes of Gilles Peterson their take on Psychedelic Soul manages to deliver the goods at shows ranging from Brixton's lively Hootananny to the slightly more serene environment of the London Jazz festival.
As well as a headline set from Native Dancer's team of 5 sonic explorers we are very lucky to welcome the exceptionally talented Eric Lau to take charge of the decks - a gifted DJ and truly prolific producer his work has won admirers from the likes of Jay Electronica and Ali Shaheed Muhammad, his 'Love Call' EP with Tawiah is a firm favourite at SUBMIT hq.
Opening the show is the extremely promising young performer Poppy Ajudha. Poppy joined Sublive for a show early on in 2015 and easily won over the audience with an effortless performance of her Hip Hop, Jazz and Neo-Soul influenced songwriting.
As per usual SUBMIT procedure our team of residents will be on hand to maintain vibe levels between live sets and keep you dancing into the most inappropriate hours of the night.
