About Cabernet of Comedy:
Cabernet of Comedy is a partnership between stand-up comedian Jarred Christmas and vintner Giles Smith Walker. Originally hailing from Christchurch New Zealand, Jarred performs stand-up in comedy clubs and festivals throughout the world, and also makes regular TV, film and radio appearances on panel shows (Mock the Week, Never Mind the Buzzcocks), and acting roles (Up the Women, Jonathan Creek). Despite not knowing his Merlot from his Cabernet Sauvignon, he is a big fan, and eager to learn more he was delighted to get to know wine connoisseur Giles Smith Walker. Director of The Independent Vintner, Giles travels the world sourcing the finest wines and most unique vineyards. Hosting professional tastings throughout the UK he presents an extraordinary knowledge of grapes and vintages with personal stories and anecdotes of his vineyard travels. This Kiwi bloke and English gent make a sparkling combination and pop the pretentious bubble often associated with wine tasting.

About The Table Café:
The Table Café in Southwark is one of the hidden gems of the South Bank. Shaun Alpine-Crabtree, who with partners from the architectural practice Allies & Morrison, founded the restaurant nearly a decade ago and has been at the helm ever since. The restaurant’s commitment to impeccable sourcing and quality British ingredients has been evident since day one. A ground-breaking collaboration with homeless charity St Mungo’s now sees The Table take herbs and vegetables on a daily basis, providing both revenue for the charity and an ongoing confidence boost for the workers in the allotments. A two star rating from the Sustainable Restaurant Association is proof of Shaun’s commitment to sustainable and ethical sourcing. Their all-day dining menu has proved to as popular at their award winning weekend Brunch menu so fans of The Table's pancakes and waffles can now enjoy them mid-week too.
